Shining A Light On Girls' Sports
The DMV Girls' Basketball Invitational Tournament is organized by WJF Sports & Entertainment. Our mission for this all-girls high school basketball tournament is to continue providing opportunities for student athletes from Maryland, DC, and Virginia to compete with various schools in a high-level tournament.

About Jeff

Jeff Fuller, founder of DMV Girls' Basketball Invitational, is a former athletic coach. Jeff spent over 15 year coaching at the high school and college level. Over this time span, Jeff's experience included coaching at Miami Carol City High School from 2007-2009 (Miami, FL) and assistant football coach at Franklin High School (Reisterstown, MD) where he was instrumental in winning two State Maryland High School Championships. From 2016-2018 Jeff was the head football coach at Pikesville High School in Baltimore County, Maryland, where he rejuvenated a weakened program. Jeff also served as the girls' lacrosse varsity coach at Pikeville High School, appearing in two Maryland State Playoff Games, and advancing to the State Regional Tournament. ​


In addition to his coaching experiences, Jeff is a successful entrepreneur in the Baltimore region. His businesses include Mr. Sparkle Window Cleaners and WJF Sports & Entertainment.

This three day basketball event will be held annually in December at the UMBC RAC center.

About Eric

Eric Puryear is a former football coach with experience at the high school and college levels. Eric's coaching experience includes head football coach at Red Spring High School (Red Springs, NC) and head football coach
at Adkins High School (Winston-Salem, NC). His journey in athletic leadership also includes defense coordinator at Johnson C. Smith University (Charlotte, NC) where he led his defense to a Division ll Best Defense in 2006.

 

Eric currently serves as principal at Lexington High School in Lexington, NC. As Advisory director, Eric provides sound and strategic advice for the tournament.
